FIELD SERVICE

Our fully trained field service engineers can provide field repair, annual maintenance, operational testing, and radiation leakage surveys on all the equipment that we sell, as well as many other brands of X-ray and metal detection equipment including a complete inventory of both new and used parts.

RADIATION LEAKAGE SURVEYS

Federal law and the public health regulations of most states require that an annual radiation leakage survey be performed on cabinet X-ray systems. Pacific Microrem can perform this service and assist you in maintaining compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements.

EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION

All X-ray imaging systems must be professionally installed in order to ensure the equipment performs properly and ensure operator and public safety. Pacific Microrem provides complete installation services for our new, used and reconditioned X-ray systems.

Metal detection equipment can often be installed by the user, depending on the model and application. For those who require it, we can provide on-site installation. For those who already have some level of experience with security metal detection equipment, our technical staff can often facilitate its installation via free telephone or documentary support.

OPERATOR TRAINING

Training is an often overlooked component of the security screening system. It makes little sense to spend many thousands of dollars purchasing an advanced and highly sophisticated screening tool only to neglect the most critical element in that system: the operator. This is particularly true of X-ray imaging systems in which the operator’s brain is the detection apparatus.

Pacific Microrem offers a variety of training products from basic orientation, full-blown manufacturer-sponsored operator training utilizing live instructors, internet and stand-alone computer-based training, video training and a number of others. We can also customize an annual re-training program for your operation featuring your specific screening equipment.

X-RAY DECOMMISSIONING AND DISPOSAL

X-ray imaging systems are problematic to dispose of. They typically contain large quantities of lead, dialectric oil and in some cases hazardous materials. Pacific Microrem can decommission your old X-ray system and dispose of and/or recycle it in a manner consistent with all local, state and federal regulatory requirements.

EQUIPMENT RENTALS

Planning a public event that requires access control? Need a metal detector or X-ray imaging system to augment existing equipment for a high-profile trial? We provide rental equipment for a single day or many months. Our rental consists of modern, current production systems. We can provide the entire package to include equipment delivery, set-up, operator training, and all necessary accessories. Among many other events, Pacific Microrem provides the rental equipment for Fleet Week at Portland Rose Festival, and Seattle SeaFair.

We often provide equipment at no charge to bridge the gap while waiting for delivery of purchased equipment.
